Bognor boss Jamie Howell was happy with a point – even though his side led on the road.
Ollie Pearce, left, scored first after fine work by Callum Overton in a 1-1 draw at East Thurrock in the Ryman League premier division. But the Essex side had missed a penalty by the time Mitchell Gilbey rewarded their pressure on 72 minutes.
Craig Robson hit the bar for Rocks late on but Howell said: “I thought it was a fair result.”
Three Bridges boss Paul Faili praised both teams after a 2-0 win at home to Guernsey in Ryman League south. Allan Tait hit a 54th-minute opener and Sam MacVicar finished off great work by Tony Garrod.
Faili said: “The game was a credit to both sides on a difficult pitch.”
Peter Bentley Cup semi-final: Chichester v Newhaven OFF.
Macron County League division one: Broadbridge Heath 0, Dorking Wanderers 1 (Hunter 82); Eastbourne Town v Littlehampton OFF; Eastbourne United 1 (Cooper 67), Pagham 0.
