Burgess Hill manager Ian Chapman admits avoiding defeat at closest rivals Faversham will put the title within touching distance.
The Hillians are 12 points clear of second-placed Faversham and a win would mean they need just one point to be crowned Ryman south champions.
Chapman said: “If we can avoid defeat tomorrow then I think the bookies would stop putting odds up.
“It is not going to decide the title one way or another. But for them it’s a must-win game and for us, if it does go against us, we move on to the next one.
“We would love to go and win there and then the title would be in touching distance.”
Chapman added the Hillians, who have lost just once in the league this season, will find themselves in a rare position for the trip.
He added: “It will be unusual for us as we are not often underdogs going into a game but we probably are for this one as they are on their own patch.”
