Eastbourne Borough boss Tommy Widdrington says the club’s run of four clean sheets is not just down to goalkeeper Lewes Carey.
Widdrington’s side have not conceded a goal in 400 minutes of football.
The last time their backline was breached was Basingstoke’s 50th-minute winner on February 21.
Former Bristol City goalkeeper has been in terrific form in that run.
But Widdrington said: “It is not a goalkeeping thing. He has been excellent all season. It is a collective awareness of how important it is to keep clean sheets.
“That has really been grasped by the lads since the poor performance at Farnborough where we conceded two bad goals.
“That is five wins now including the Crawley friendly. It is something that we can definitely build on.”
Borough have a full squad to choose from for games at home to Concord Rangers today and away to Staines Town on Monday.
