Burgess Hill have been crowned champions of Ryman south.
The Hillians clinched the title with four games to spare after a 2-0 win at Carshalton.
Ian Chapman’s side have enjoyed a wonderful season, losing just one of their 42 league fixtures to date.
Success has been achieved with a squad mixing youth and experience.
Faversham were the only side who could mathematically catch Burgess Hill ahead of today’s games but the Hillians’ victory means they cannot now be caught.
Pat Harding broke the deadlock in the first minute of the second half and Lee Harding doubled the advantage on 61 minutes to put Burgess Hill in touching distance of the title.
When the final whistle blew Burgess Hill players celebrated on the pitch with champagne.
