Steven King is adamant the play-offs hold no fears for Whitehawk.

The Hawks secured their place in the top five when they won 3-1 at home to Hemel Hempstead.

Who they play in the play-offs and whether they are home or away will be decided after today’s visit to Havant and Waterlooville, the side immediately above them.

King is challenging his team to win and climb above Havant to ensure a better seeding in the season’s extension.

But, in truth, he is not fussed who the Hawks play when the play-offs take place.

King told The Argus: “We are on a good run, we have won four of the last five and are in decent form at just the right time.

“It is a huge thing for us to get into the play-offs and now we want to finish as high as we can.

“I don’t believe there is anything between the four teams in the play-offs – everyone is capable of beating each other.

“Quite often there is one point who finishes ten points or so above another but this year there are three points between four teams.

“We know we are capable of beating everyone in the play-offs if we are on song. The flip side is if we are not on song.

“It will be the strongest play-offs there have been for a long time.”

Hawks could be without centre-back Tom Cadmore for the rest of the season. He missed last Saturday’s victory with a knee injury - bringing to an end a run of 18 consecutive appearances – and was due to undergo a scan on the problem yesterday.

Cadmore is likely to miss the match at Havant but King fears he will be ruled out of the play-offs as well.

Marvin Hamilton is expected to continue alongside captain Osei Sankofa today.

Pa Saikou Kujabi will be available this weekend after his return from suspension was delayed by a knock sustained in training.
