Lewes have secured another season of Ryman premier football but Peacehaven have been relegated after just one campaign at that level.

Needing a victory to stand any chance of staying up, Peacehaven led 2-0 at half-time at home to Hampton and Richmond thanks to goals from Tom Burton and Wilfred Grimaud.

However, Hampton scored three times in the first 16 minutes of the second half before going on to win 4-2.

Peacehaven could have caught Lewes among other clubs had they won but defeat meant results elsewhere were academic.

Lewes, however, ended the season on a high with a 2-0 win at already-relegated Bury Town thanks to goals from Elliott Romain and Henry Muggeridge.

Bognor ended with a 1-0 defeat at home to Margate, former Rocks skipper Kane Wills getting the only goal.

Substitute Ahmed Abdulla grabbed a late winner as Whitehawk won 2-1 at Havant and Waterlooville to finish fourth in Vanarama Conference south.

The Hawks have climbed above Havant and will now face Basingstoke over two legs in the play-off semi-finals, the first leg being at the Enclosed Ground on Wednesday and the second leg away next Saturday.

Havant will play Boreham Wood in the other semi-final, with the Conference south play-off final on May 9.

East Grinstead were officially relegated from Ryman south following a 2-1 defeat at Whitstable, although they are expecting to get a reprieve from relegation. Kareem Boyle put the Wasps ahead but they conceded two goals in the last seven minutes to finish third from bottom.

Hastings United, who had been in danger of relegation, climbed a place to 19th in the final standings after letting slip a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Walton and Hersham.

Bottom side Horsham ended with a 5-0 defeat at Tooting and Mitcham.

Joe Keehan grabbed a late equaliser as champions Burgess Hill drew 1-1 at runners-up Folkestone Invicta.

Sixth-placed Worthing lost 5-2 at Guernsey while seventh-placed Three Bridges finished with a 3-2 win at home to Carshalton thanks to goals from Allan Tait, Ben Godfrey and Marc Pulling.
