Brian Suckling does not expect Peacehaven to be given a reprieve from relegation.

But the Magpies chairman says they would not turn down an offer to stay in Ryman premier should it come their way.

Manager Tony Coade is currently preparing for life back in Ryman division one after being relegated at the end of last season.

Rumours spread last week on social media that Farnborough’s financial position could result in them being place in division one, which would mean Peacehaven staying in the premier division.

But Suckling said: “We are gearing up for Ryman one football and have been doing that since the last game of the season.

“If Farnborough were to go into Ryman one south that could lead to a reprieve for Peacehaven but personally I don’t think that will happen.

“Once the AGM has happened the constitution has been agreed for the following season, then that should be that.

“Having said that, if an offer came our way we would grab it with both hands.”
