Eastbourne Borough have confirmed the signings of four players as they prepare for their Conference south opener at Wealdstone.

Former Norwich, Barnet and Charlton midfielder Dean Sinclair has agreed a short-term deal at Priory Lane with a view to something more permanent.

Sinclair cost Charlton £125,000 when he was signed from Barnet in 2007. He has also played for Grimsby Town and England C.

Former Charlton striker James Walker has re-signed on non-contract terms along with another former Borough player in Marvin Hamilton and ex-Crystal Palace youngster Kiran Tinder-John.

Striker Elliott Charles, who has been on trial in pre-season, could also rejoin the club from Dover once he returns from a holiday but Stacy Long is unlikely to be signing.

Skipper Ian Simpemba yesterday signed a contract extension with the club which will keep him at Priory Lane until the end of the 2015-16 season.

Club stalwart Darren Baker has stepped down as coach.

Manager Tommy Widdrington will work without an assistant but academy manager Jay Lovett will help out on matchdays while also playing when required.

A two-page preview of the non-league season is in The Argus today.
