Skipper Barry Middleton will not be a lone voice when he leads the GB men's hockey team into action at London 2012 tonight.
The East Grinstead player knows he can rely on others to have their say in a potentially fiery encounter against Argentina at the Riverbank Arena (7pm).
Middleton, 28, a two-time Olympic veteran, explained: "We have a lot of experienced players in our group so it's not always just me who says things.
"People just know the right time to say things and with competitions like the Olympics, there isn’t a lot that needs to be said.
"A lot of it comes from the heart and we’ll go with the flow, but there’s not too much left to say now."
Middleton will have plenty of familiar voices around him. East Grinstead team-mates Ashley Jackson, Glenn Kirkham and Iain Lewers are all in the squad, along with former Lewes player Ben Hawes, from Barcombe, who plies his trade now with Wimbledon.
