Eagles ease to welcome win

Eastbourne bounced back from their double defeat on Good Friday by thumping Wolverhampton tonight.

Lukas Dryml and Lewis Bridger scored ten points apiece as Eagles won 54-38 at Arlington.

They were on course long before Freddie Lindgren and Tai Woffinden scored 5-1s for Wolves in heats 13 and 15.

Eagles had 5-1s in heats six, seven and eight to open a 20-point lead.

Reserve Timo Lahti was unbeaten in his first three rides and earned a first-ever Elite League heat 15 call.

Eagles rode without Simon Gustafsson, who suffered bruising in a fall in Poland.

Wolves pair Ricky Wells and Ty Proctor both withdrew during the meeting.

Wells suffered a suspected broken thumb and Proctor took a bang to the head.

The visitors took two tactical rides but Bridger beat both Nicolai Klindt and Lindgren as they went for double points.

The sides meet again at Monmore Green on Monday.
