Worthing Raiders lost 32-24 to Blaydon today to leave their National One status hanging by a thread.
Raiders needed a victory but only picked up a single bonus point.
Relegation rivals Cinderford and Tynedale drew, Henley Hawks lost but Loughborough won.
Three unconverted tries by Chris Wearmouth, Harry Bate and Sean Brown put Blaydon 15-14 up at half-time.
Raiders replied through tries by Liam Perkins and Kiba Richards, converted by Joe Govett.
Andrew Baggest slotted an early second-half penalty to extend the Blaydon lead but Raiders went 19-18 ahead when Kiba Richards got his second of the game with a touchdown in the far left hand corner.
The lead was shortlived, though, as Blaydon opened up a 32-19 advantage with tries from Tom Bramwell and Andrew Davies, both converted by Baggett.
Blaydon lost both Wearmouth and Smithson to the sin-bin in a fractious last ten minutes but Raiders’ only consolation was a bonus point fourth try in the last seconds from Matt McClean.
Govett was unable to add the extras from wide out on the left so Raiders were unable to add to close the gap to secure a second bonus point
