Daniel Hildreth has told his Worthing Thunder side to get busy on the boards if they are to halt their losing run.

Thunder suffered a fourth league defeat on the spin as they went down 101-84 at Reading Rockets.

They trailed just 48-46 at half-time having scored the first eight points of the NBL division one contest.

But Hildreth was unhappy at how they rebounded the ball throughout the game.

The Thunder coach said: "We went away from our defensive intensity in the second half, our rotations were slow and we just looked lost.

"The biggest thing though, and I said this to the guys at half-time, was that we were not rebounding the ball.

"We had nine total rebounds at half-time and we finished by losing the rebound count 36-22. We won’t win games if we do that.”

Milton Chavis led Thunder with 32 points with Hank Rivers adding 18 to go with ten rebounds. Alex Zurn led Reading with 30 points.

Sussex Bears coach Gary Smith praised a pleasing all round team display after the straightforward 100-78 win at struggling London Greenhouse Pioneers II in division four.

Pioneers were coached by former Thunder assistant Jozef 'Dodi' Butor, who also had stints at Brighton Cougars and Brighton Bears.

Smith said: "They played hard but we were always in control."

All 12 Bears players enjoyed court time.

Brighton Cougars won 91-84 at Folkestone.
