Chris Eubank Junior today announced deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.

Barry Hearn, father of Eddie, promoted former two-weight world champion Chris Eubank senior during his career.

Eubank Jr will be trained by Ronnie Davies and Adam Booth, who worked with former WBA World Heavyweight Champion David Haye and also George Groves.

Brighton’s Eubank Jr, the interim WBA World middleweight title holder, has just one defeat on his 20-fight record, to arch rival Billy Joe Saunders in November 2014.

Eubank has not fought since his impressive 12th-round stoppage of Dmitry Chudinov in February this year when he claimed the tough Russian’s interim belt.

But he will return to the ring on on October 24 on the undercard of the Brook/Chaves card and then again on December 12 at the 02.

Eubank Jr, 26, was previously with Frank Warren but their agreement ended in the summer.

Eddie Hearn said: “I hope to have similar success with Chris Eubank Junior as my father did with Eubank senior.”
