Burgess Hill are relishing the chance to take on Football League hopefuls Dover Athletic in the FA Cup.
Hillians were drawn at home to the side currently just outside the play-off places in the Vanarama National League.
Dover, who play two divisions above Hillians, are likely to pose a tough test – and bring a decent-sized following.
Hillians boss Ian Chapman said: “We wanted a home tie and this will be a really difficult test against a strong side and a decent club.
“We will give it everything. It’s a no-lose situation for us really.
“We’ve got boy here who want to play at a higher level. It’s a chance for them to showcase themselves.”
Whitehawk have a good chance of going through to the first round proper for the second successive season. Hawks go to Welling United, the side two places below them in National League south.
They then return to Park View Road a week later for a league game.
Eastbourne Borough will visit Aldershot, who currently occupy a Vanarama National play-off spot, if they get through their replay at Hadley.
Hastings will go to Ryman Premier side Harrow Borough if they get past Margate in their rain-delayed tie.
Fourth qualifying round matches take place on Saturday, October 15.
