Ivan Ljubicic limped out of the AEGON Championships at Eastbourne today.

The unlucky Croatian was a set up and 4-2 down in his quarter-final with French veteran Fabrice Santoro when he damaged his left ankle.

The injury-plagued former world No. 3, on his way back from back and hamstring problems, slipped as he came into the net.

He had treatment from the trainer but was unable to continue, presenting fourth seed Santoro with a place in the semi-finals against Canadian qualifier Frank Dancevic
