A Grade II Listed building could be converted into a luxury hotel.

Under a scheme submitted to Hastings Borough Council, three floors of 11 Edward Road in St Leonards would be turned into six en-suite bedrooms and lounge and dining rooms.

Parts of the building have previously been used as a language school and a business study centre.

Six objections have been received in relation to the bid, which centre around parking difficulties.

The application will be decided by Hastings Borough Council planning committee at a public meeting on May 21.

Can't see the high rollers piling into St Leonard's even if it is a "luxury" hotel. What would they do when they get there?
