Think of Cinematic Orchestra crossed with Philip Glass and you're close to the chamber jazz sound of the Portico Quartet.
After the success of their debut Knee Deep In The North Sea, the band have taken their place alongside the likes of Polar Bear and Acoustic Ladyland as names to watch on the current Brit-jazz scene.

From the village of Horsted Keynes, this walk heads eastwards to encircle the nearby settlement of Danehill, crossing and recrossing two well-wooded valleys before returning along part of the Sussex Border Path, a longdistance walking route which sticks fairly closely to the boundary between East and West Sussex.
