Glow, Fabrica, Brighton, May 23

A lone dancer is sprawled across a white screen on the floor of Fabrica. As she starts to twist her limbs and roll restlessly, a kaleidoscope of digital images dance with her.
At first it appears she is moving within a pre-planned maze of flickering lines and violet etchings. But, as her movements grow increasingly wild and violent, it becomes clear the technology is responding to every kick of her leg and grasp of her fingers.
This mesmerising relationship gains dramatic momentum as images of beauty grow more grotesque. Hypnotic black and white stripes give way to ominous black stains which chase at the dancers feet.
As the threatening shadows surround her, she emits agonising squeals as though possessed by some mysterious dark force.
An intriguingly sensual yet sinister exploration of dance, digital art and sound.

From the village of Horsted Keynes, this walk heads eastwards to encircle the nearby settlement of Danehill, crossing and recrossing two well-wooded valleys before returning along part of the Sussex Border Path, a longdistance walking route which sticks fairly closely to the boundary between East and West Sussex.
