Coco Peru, Komedia, Brighton, until May 21

"Just think of this show as a group therapy session and it's my turn to talk," says glamorous LA drag queen Coco Peru with a mascara-heavy wink.

Dressed in a twinkly black mini dress, with red wig curling neatly at the shoulder, her show is a collection of honest, eye-opening and wickedly funny stories about her remarkable transformation from Clinton Leupp to Coco Peru.

She talks about the tough reality of growing up in The Bronx and being known as the "girly boy" who lived in a pink house with a father who loved farting and a mother who fought bullies with her sewing kit!

But Coco isn't a bitchy, foul-mouthed drag queen - she's a lovable broad who captivates a sell-out crowd with her fascinating and often provocative observations on life.

It's heart warming stuff, but there's also plenty of kick-ass attitude, sassy laughs, upbeat songs and the occasional burst of bubbles.
