the Long Goodbye

The Long Goodbye

From: The Sussex countryside

Influences: Wilco, Ryan Adams, Grandaddy, Mercury Rev, Gene Clark, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bright Eyes, The Velvet Underground, Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Bonnie Prince Billy, Tom McRae, Elliott Smith, Jayhawks and Counting Crows.

Profile: The Long Goodbye evolved from a solo project by multi-instrumentalist Alfie Bernardi, after he decided to break out on his own after a career as a sidesman.

The band’s debut album Whenever In Ruins is full of reflective songs about lost love and desolation. The four-piece are currently on the look-out for a keyboard player.
