Sussex Symphony Orchestra, St Bartholomew's Church, Ann Street, Brighton, Apr 5

Stravinsky's 1919 The Firebird Suite is set to close the Sussex Symphony Orchestra's second visit to St Bartholomew's Church this year.

Conductor and founder Mark Andrew James will be guiding the orchestra through some favourite classical pieces, including Shostakovitch's Festive Overture and Sibelius's Karelia Suite.

Joining the orchestra for this performance will be soloist Christopher Braine, who will be performing Richard Strauss's romantic Oboe Concerto to close the first half.

The orchestra will be returning to St Bart's on Saturday, May 24, with a Grand Opera Gala as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival, featuring special guests from the National Opera Studio.
