Brooklyn eight-piece The Dap-Kings were one of the best kept secrets in modern soul until Amy Winehouses Back To Black came out.
The troubled singer loved the band so much she asked them to back six tracks on the album, including Rehab, and took them along on tour with her on her first US outing.
The bands real singer, 51-year-old Sharon Jones, took it fairly well. While she told one magazine: The reason she Winehouse is singing what shes singing is because she heard me, she added that she wasnt angry about it.
Because of Amy, people know just how good we are, she said.
