Kissmet, The Hawth, Crawley, April 20

1:31pm Friday 11th April 2008

By Duncan Hall »

They have performed at music festivals from Glastonbury to Mexico and supported acts including Ms Dynamite and Asian Dub Foundation.

Fronted by two UK-born Sikh brothers, they took the passion and energy of the Nineties Bhangra scene and fused it with everything from rock to reggae. Now the six-piece British-Asian band are joining forces with three West Sussex schools for a special multimedia evening that marks the culmination of a ten-week project.

In addition to Kissmet's own blend of styles and genres, pupils from the three schools have used Kissmet's music as the inspiration for creating new music and dance.
