Space’s Second Birthday, Joogleberry Playhouse, Brighton, May 6
Anyone who grew up watching television in the 1980s couldn't fail to get excited about Fraggle Rock co-creator Jocelyn Stevenson, the first guest for Space's second birthday party.
As well as pointing out the sorry state of kids' TV in the UK, where only 1% of programming is made in this country, she gave some real insights into the world behind the Fraggles.
Journalist Jon Ronson has gained legions of fans around the world for his humorous investigations into the weird and disturbing. They have seen him risk life and limb in a jihad training camp in Crawley, and try to get on the inside of the Bilderberg Group, the organisation at the heart of a hundred conspiracy theories.
As ever, Briggy Smale kept the evening moving, despite a slow start with a speech by Michael Blake of Arts and Business which seemed more suited to a business seminar.
