Cold climate (From The Argus)

Sorry but this is utter drivel. Even the IPCC admits that the chances of the Gulf Stream stopping are so small that it's not even worth considering. And what's been happening to Arctic ice over the last five years is that it's been getting thicker and covering a wider area every summer - 30% more last year than five years earlier. One cold winter means not a lot but what the stats show is that there has been no increase in the mean average global temperature for a decade. Whether that's a blip remains to be seen but it's so far unexplained and was not predicted by the global warming lobbyists.

I cannot understand the reasoning behind this. If the ice is doing as described then there must be an almighty amount of ice melting, enough to make headline news. Cold water will go to the bottom forcing warm water upwards and outwards, FACT.
So where is this amount of water that is supposedly blocking off the gulf stream that in all known history carries top side warmth that allows the warming of land by use of wind, breezes and moderates land temperature .
Please explain this wondrous knowledge to us simpletons.
Originaly Global warming zealots, who now hide behind climate change titles because it is easier to confuse and less easy to disprove, just latch on to anything to prove their theories. i.e cold winters now prove global warming.
Their scaremongering is frightening people including many children and these will be the poor souls that pay the cost of all these ridiculous policies now being adopted.
Your met office has given up longer range forecasting due to its lack of accuracy yet still has pages devoted to what will happen in 100 years time. Charlatans and con men , the lot of em!!!!!!
