White knight

3:14pm Friday 12th March 2010

I would like to offer huge thanks to someone who saved my day recently. I had a very busy day ahead of me, which began by taking my dog Archie for a morning walk. As I slammed the door behind me I realised I had left my house keys inside. Both my neighbours have spare sets, but unfortunately they were out.

I decided to walk to my daughter’s school, hoping she had her keys with her. On the way I cut through Hove Recreation Ground, but two dogs chased Archie straight out of the park.

He was nowhere to be found. But then this handsome chap came into view standing beside his white van, holding Archie. And then I saw the writing on the van: Locksmith.

He not only saved my dog, which had been running along the Old Shoreham Road, but also got me back into my house. I didn’t get his name but I would like to say a huge thank you to him for his kind actions. He was my knight in a white van and saved my day completely.
