All’s fair

3:36pm Monday 15th March 2010

Mary Kennedy’s letter (The Argus, March 12) referred to the speculation of a celebrity wedding in Rottingdean and the potential traffic difficulties at both this and the forthcoming village fair.

I can assure her the fair’s calvacade which wanders gently up the high street brings enormous pleasure to young and old alike and traffic is only held up very briefly.

The theme for this year’s fair, to be held on August 7, is “nursery rhymes” and proceeds will go to village groups, the Four Deans Stroke Association and MacMillan Nurses.

I do hope that Mary and many others will be able to come along to watch the parade, amble around the village green and enjoy the entertainment and great variety of stalls.
