For any readers who haven’t seen Shutter Island at the cinema – do! It is creepy and full of twists – a bit like The Others, which starred Nicole Kidman and our very own Eric Sykes.

Mark Ruffalo is gorgeous as Leonardo DiCaprio’s new partner Chuck Aule. Mark might be unknown at the moment but could be a star of future films, who knows? The film was worth watching for him alone. I found the way he referred to Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio) as “Boss” a bit of a turn-on, and he is not all he appears to be in the movie.

I couldn’t be bothered to read the novel by Dennis Lehane before – perhaps I will now!
