I have been reading with interest the recent letters regarding the Naked Bike Ride (Letters, May 12).
Normally, I am ambivalent to such demonstrations and find them an amusing rather than political comment.
However, since the re-routing of buses and traffic from St James’s Street due to gas mains replacement, I have different views. The increase in noise, dirt and air pollution is evident. The airborne dirt coats every indoor surface and my asthma has worsened.
Essential traffic for work and travel must be allowed, but the Naked Bike Ride protest is more than just a side show.
