The route to economic transport

It’s ok to move this Victorian bus shelter out of the way of the cycle lane, if Brighton and Hove City Council increases the daily traffic of cyclists, on this part of the seafront (The Argus, July 27).

It would be good to see councillors Mary Mears and Geoffrey Theobald using a bike on the lane, and all council workers using bikes instead of the wasteful dedicated private bus service between Brighton Town Hall and King’s House on The Drive, Hove. This would be a real way to cut the council’s budget.
