I WOULD like to thank residents and visitors to Brighton for contributing to a charity street collection on Saturday, September 3 for International Animal Rescue.
This took place along Western Road, Castle Square and in the Old Steine. Donations amounted to £93.72.
Thanks must also go to our wonderful volunteers, who not only braved scorching weather to help fundraise, but managed to rescue a seagull that had been hit by a bus.
Someone helped our volunteers take the injured animal to a vet. The good news is that the bird is fine and was able to be released.
So, well done to all involved – another successful rescue!
