POLITICIANS have approved a cull of badgers to possibly solve a wildlife problem.
I would prefer a cull of politicians. I think this would certainly solve most of our problems.

I'm sure the Greens do too, but Tories and Lib Dems back the cull.
Secondly, would the Argus publish a letter calling for a "cull" of any other group of people? It may be populist and funny to call for politicians to be killed, but don't forget that a few years back a Lib Dem MP was stabbed and his staff member was killed, and last year Labour MP Stephen Timms nearly died after being stabbed at a surgery. And it is only 25 years or so since the IRA "culled" a number of Conservative politicians in Brighton and Eastbourne. You may not like politicians, but in a democracy its the ballot box not violence that brings about change.
