LIVING in hilly Patcham, I would just like to thank Brighton and Hove City Council for kindly sending the nice road-sweeping lorry past my house this morning to pick up the nasty salt and grit it had spread the night before. Joined-up government? I do not think so.

Strange, I live in hilly Patcham but haven't seen a gritting lorry at all yet.

Mind you, I haven't seen a road sweeping lorry for months either so maybe there is some connection!
