Waiting game

I HAVE multiple sclerosis and have been waiting for a drug called Tysabri since October. My neaurologist and two infusion nurses have been really helpful to me, but there are only 17 spaces available at Hurstwood Park Hospital for this treatment.

We didn’t ask for this rotten disease. Why should our quality of life suffer? Myself and others waiting to go onto Tysabri need more spaces to be made at Hurstwood Park.

The Primary Care Trust involved needs to make more spaces for treatment. Perhaps it would help if they could understand what it is like – let them spend one week in my shoes living with multiple sclerosis.
