A Sussex ceremony?

3:19pm Thursday 11th March 2010

I was reading your article about Simon Cowell potentially getting married in Rottingdean (The Argus, March 2).

You name it

3:18pm Thursday 11th March 2010

On Tuesday, March 9, I saw a headline in The Argus claiming potholes across Sussex could take 13 years to repair.

Due defence

3:17pm Thursday 11th March 2010

I would like to correct Andrew Burnyeat’s assertion (Letters, March 10) that the University of Sussex students who were suspended following an occupation protest on campus “will not get a chance to defend themselves in any kind of hearing”.

Divorce dives

3:19pm Thursday 11th March 2010

Earlier in the year it was reported in the news that official statistics show the divorce rate in Britain is at a 29-year low.

Cold climate

3:16pm Thursday 11th March 2010

Father Blake would do well to remember Christ’s message

3:14pm Thursday 11th March 2010

Injury to all

3:00pm Wednesday 10th March 2010

I was pleased to see the level of coverage given to the Trades Council “March For Jobs” (The Argus, March 8).

Beach access

3:00pm Wednesday 10th March 2010

The article “Beach made accessible to everyone” (The Argus, March 4) is not strictly true. While Brighton and Hove City Council has purchased two “all-terrain buggies”, these will only make the beach accessible to disabled people who can transfer independently.

Ideals crumble

3:01pm Wednesday 10th March 2010

The University of Sussex is in the news again over its proposals to cut 115 jobs (The Argus March 10), which includes plans to also drop virtually all history courses focusing on periods before the 17th century.

Above board

3:01pm Wednesday 10th March 2010

I attended the hearing which considered the further control of estate agent boards (The Argus, March 10), to put the case for the Brunswick and Adelaide wards to be included in any extension of the ban.
