Long Short family
Marie Collins emails: "We are trying
to find any relatives of Bessie Short.
"Her husband was Sydney Short and
they were married in East Preston.
She had three children in East Preston,
called Frederick E Short b.1929,
Betty M Short b.1932 and Daphne
J Short b.1934. We think she also
had four more children in Worthing.
"Bessie's maiden name was Tester.
Her mother was Mary Tester who, after
Bessie was born, married Charles
Collins. They both lived and worked at
Lee Farm in Burpham or Clapham.
"If anyone has any information about
where any of the family might be, please
call Angela or Marie Collins on 01273
401965 or email reecollins10@yahoo.co.uk."
