Sheila Ryan emails: "Is it possible to ask your readers if anyone has any information on a former policeman, Harry Ward?
"A plaque in his memory is on Beachy Head, reading: "PC Harry Ward, 1912-1974.
The Downs ranger who patrolled Beachy Head on his horse for many years before retiring in 1966.
On numerous occasions he risked his life attempting to save others.
"I am writing a book about Beachy Head and would love to hear from family, friends or officials who can tell me his story."
