A town could get its first-ever Nando's if plans are approved.
The proposals, submitted to Arun District Council, are to turn the empty site where Pizza Hut was in Arun Retail Park, Shripney Road, Bognor, into a branch of the restaurant chain.
Plans submitted by Sam Harper, director of planning consultants Firstplan, on behalf of Nando's, are to make some alterations to the unit.
As well as installing branded signs, the company wants to add tiles to the storefront, change the doors and windows and add artists' murals to side walls.
It also wants to repaint the roof, redecorate columns and restore existing gutters.

In a letter to the council, Mr Harper said: "The proposed signage and shopfront alterations are evidently acceptable in terms of both amenity and design.
"The application proposals will enhance the appearance of the host building and, in turn, the surrounding area.
"The replacement signage remains modest in scale, but essential to Nando's as they advertise their occupation of this former Pizza Hut restaurant unit.
"The package of works is evidence of Nando's continued investment into new and existing stores as they continue to focus on implementing high-quality unique design proposals."
A spokeswoman for Nando’s said: “We’re excited to be opening our first restaurant in Bognor this summer. We can’t wait to fire up the grills and serve our famous peri-peri and good vibes in a new town for us. We will be able to share more information in the coming months. In the meantime, please do keep an eye out for the roles we are hiring for at www.nandos.careers.”
Arun District Council is due to make a decision on the plans by April 22.
