CHILDS Michael (Santa Mike) The much loved Michael Childs passed away suddenly on 12th December 2019, after a short illness. Just days before he had been doing what he loved best and had been doing for more than 25 years at his favourite time of the year. Always known as Santa Mike - he was simply the best Santa you could ever wish to meet. Dearest husband of Sue and father of six, grandad and great-grandad of many. The funeral service will take place at St. Nicholas Church, Church Street (off Dyke Road), Brighton, BN1 3LJ on Monday, 20th January at 11.30am, followed by a private family cremation. Sue and the family invite everyone to join in the celebration of Mike's life, and as you would expect it will be Christmas themed. So please don't pack away your Christmas jumpers, hats, deely boppers, socks and slippers until after 20th January 2020. The more Christmassy the better. Family flowers only please but we hope you will make a donation to the Santa Bus Project in Mike's memory. Every penny you donate will go directly to helping local good causes.
