Enid Kathleen Gray Passed away peacefully in Middleton Grove on the 15th August 2020 aged 100. Much loved daughter of Sarah Dampman and wife of Reg Gray, Enid was loved by all who knew her, daughters Lynne and Jane and her long time companion Derek. Also her grandchildren; Adam, Nick, Tom, Ellie, Anna, Chloe and Nicholas and eight great grandchildren who all knew her best as GG (Granny Gray). Enid was a well known hairdresser in Brighton and ran her family business with husband Reg who predeceased her; she continued to work until she was 91 and also loved to travel, often in the company of her daughters Jane and Lynne and Derek. She will be sadly missed. The funeral will take place at 12.30 pm on Friday 4th September 2020 at St Michael and All Angels Church in Brighton followed by cremation at the Downs Crematorium at 2pm. Attendance will be by invitation only. Funeral Directors J Wagstaff and Sons. Family flowers only. Donations to the Chindits Society, Sort code 40 14 24. Account number 01465481 (Reg Gray served with the Chindits in Burma in WW2 and rather appropriately Enid passed away on VJ Day)
