SHIELS FREEMAN EDGAR HAROLD (Harold) Formerly of Kilrea NI and Lewes, E Sussex, passed away peacefully on 3 January 2021, at Connaught Court (Fred Crosland Care Home) Fulford, York. At 94 he had lived a full life and career as a well-travelled Chartered Power Generation Engineer. Husband of former wife Jennifer (Hutchinson) and late wife Elizabeth (McKnight) and father of Alan, Simon and Helen (former pupils at Lewes Priory) dear father-in-law of Susie and Stirling, grandfather of Amy (Dan) and Holly, Sam and Oliver and great-grandfather of Layla, Kaia and Grayson. Uncle and great-uncle of Vivienne Longman (Parker) and Colin Parker and their respective families. Son of late James and Anne Shiels (McCahon). Our dear Dad, your love of travel and exploration lives on, you will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to attend a small memorial service at York Crematorium, 22 January at 15.40 (this will be live streamed for those that cannot travel or attend in person).
