Philip Realff

Realff Philip Passed away peacefully on 18th April 2021, aged 86 years. Much loved husband for 61 years of Marlene, father of Matthew and his wife Mary Lynn, grandad to Alexander and Penelope and brother to Jeff. He taught mathematics, and coached field hockey, at Vardean 6th form college for many years. Funeral service to be held at Woodvale Crematorium North Chapel at 2.00pm on Thursday 6th May 2021. I knew Phil from Varndean College. I joined in 1993 and Phil was one of the first people to leap over a few chairs to welcome me and ask if I liked beer! We went on a number of trips to Harveys in Lewes and I have nothing but very fond memories of Phil. Cheery, good humoured and a great teacher from student feedback. I'm truly glad to have met him. Phil was a wonderful man.
When I joined the Maths department in September 2000 he was extremely kind to me. We had endless chats about sport and mathematics often over a pint of Harveys. Happy memories!!
