A27 TRUNK ROAD (FALMER INTERCHANGE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A27 Trunk Road in the County of East Sussex, and the Unitary Authority of Brighton and Hove, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of -
1. the slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A27 at Falmer Interchange (B2123);

2. the slip road leading to the westbound carriageway of the A27 at Falmer

Interchange (B2123); and
3. the bus stop adjacent to the slip road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A27.

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake surveys, highways maintenance works and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for
approximately 2 weeks starting on or after
Monday 1st July 2019. The overnight closures
would take place between 20:00 and 06:00
(maximum period).
The Order would come into force on
29th June 2019 and have a maximum duration
of eighteen months.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted via other junctions of the A27 and by
using the B2123.
The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
