ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE BRIGHTON & HOVE (GRAND BRIGHTON HALF MARATHON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2020
The Grand Brighton Half Marathon is taking place and finishes in Madeira Drive, Brighton. To facilitate its safe passage parts of the route will need to be closed to traffic and therefore Brighton & Hove City Council have made an Order under Sections 16A to C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which
temporarily brings into operation the following package of traffic.
No person shall cause or permit any vehicle that is not participating in, or connected with the Grand Brighton Half Marathon to proceed in, exit from, or turn into any of the lengths of road specified below, except upon the direction or with the permission of a Police Constable in uniform or that of a uniformed marshal:-
Temporary Road Closures Sunday 23rd February 2020 from 08:00 - 14:00 hours

Mill Road - road closure from 06:00 to 18:00 hours
Temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any times:
Wharf Road for its entire length
Temporary suspension of no left turn:
Queens Road into North Street
North Road into Gloucester Place
Temporary suspension of existing bus lane restriction:
North Street
Western Road from Montpelier Road to Preston Street
Marlborough Place
Gloucester Place
St George's Place
York Place
Temporary suspension of Pedestrian Zone/Loading Only:
East Street
Little East Street
Ship Street - North Street to Dukes Street
Temporary suspension of existing one way order -
East Street
Little East Street
Russell Road
Preston Street - Western Road to Regency Square
