TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER - REGENCY SQUARE SUBWAY
1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into force will have the following effect:-
Close that length of Regency Square Subway that lies between the Lower Promenade and the section that links Regency Square Car Park with the northern footway of Kings Road.
2. The Order is necessary to allow contractors to safely carry out construction works associated with the i360 project.
3. Pedestrian access across the A259 Kings Road will be maintained via the subway from the Car Park to the northern footway of Kings Road then across the surface Pelican Crossing located opposite Regency Square.
4. This Order comes into force on 4th August 2014 for eighteen months or until such sooner time as the works are completed.
