A homelessness charity has received a funding boost thanks to The Argus Appeal.

The charity arm of The Argus donated £3,000 to Hove-based charity Off The Fence.

The money will go towards providing sleeping bags and other equipment to support the dozens of homeless people on the city’s streets.

Paul Young, of Off The Fence, received the money from David Goldin, a trustee of The Argus Appeal, outside its centre in Portland Road, Hove.

Elsa Gillio, of The Argus Appeal, said: “It’s always a pleasure to support local charities which help some of the most vulnerable people in the city.

“Thank you to all who support us.”
