Water experts will tackle an epic trek across the countryside in aid of The Argus appeal.
Twenty-three staff members from Southern Water will embark on a gruelling five-day walk across the South Downs totalling 105 miles.
The dedicated bunch will walk from June 25 to June 30 and are hoping to raise at least a “few thousand pounds.”
The route winds from Winchester in Hampshire through East Meon, Cocking, Washington, Ditchling, Alfriston and finally Eastbourne.
Kevin Buck, of Southern Water, said: “We run a volunteering scheme where our employees have two days off a year to work in the community.
“The Argus Appeal is a great charity and it’s in our nature to do everything we can to support good causes. It’s going to be tough but it will be worth every step.”
The walk will be led by Argus editor Michael Beard.
For more than 50 years, The Argus has supported the local community by running the appeal.
