Originally from South Wales, Richard first started work for The Argus as a reporter in December 2006. Prior to that he worked for weekly papers The Barry and District News and the Caerphilly
Campaign. His main patch was Shoreham and the surrounding Adur district.
He left in June 2010 to join PR firm flannel based in Hove before re-joining The Argus as its maternity cover web editor in April 2011.
Much to the annoyance of his colleagues (who were forced to hold a second leaving collection), Richard once again left The Argus at the end of July 2011 to move back to South Wales to work full-time on CaerphillyObserver.co.uk
