There is to be a public meeting for local residents to discuss what improvements could be made to Hangleton Park, what concerns you have about the park, and find out how to get involved, alongside other local residents, in making changes to the park.

The meeting will take place on Monday 28th September at Hangleton Community Centre in Harmsworth Crescent, from 7pm-9pm, and free refreshments will be provided.

The contact for the event is Claire Sillence, a Community Development Worker at the Hangleton and Knoll Project, our local communityand she can be contacted on 01273 821380 or claire.sillence@hkproject.org.uk.

Anyone who lives in Hangleton will know the park well, and if you grew up in the area, will no doubt have fond memories of the park, so this is your opportunity to make the park an even better place for all those who use the park now!

There have been great results in other parks in the area when local residents have teamed up in ‘friends of’ groups or similar systems – another local park, Knoll Park, have an active group of volunteers who have made various changes and improvements, in conjunction with their park ranger, and the results have been very positive, so it would be great to see Hangleton Park benefit from a community based improvement drive too!
