The Coach House Norfolk Buildings

According to historic vellum documents, the Coach House dates back to the 18th Century and incorporates the original 'flint and bungaroosh' Georgian frontage. This architect designed house was rebuilt in 2011 and kept the historic facade to blend with the adjacent grade two listed coaching arch. During the demolition of the previous property, examples of 18th Century bricks and floorboards were retained and then incorporated on the ground floor of the new house.

Walking in from the mews, the house has been designed to feel like a period property, but it purposefully becomes more modern and bolder in design, from the first floor up to the vaulted open plan top floor space and adjoining roof garden. There is TV and Cat6 cabling in every room, which ensures easy home office working or buffer free film and TV streaming.

Entering the ground floor living area, the reclaimed floor boards and brick fireplace leads you via French Doors to the conservatory, with Mediterranean planting and colour change lighting. Above the fireplace is a Mirror Television which when switched off, appears to be just a mirror. The dining area leads to the oak and Sicilian marble kitchen, with Bosch integrated appliances and American style fridge freezer. All internal doors are solid oak, including those to the under-stair storage area and to the garage which has an automatic operated door. The garage houses the patch board for the TV cabling and Cat6 wiring, enabling rooms to be connected for multimedia.

The sea grass covered stairs have discreetly lit treads up to the family bathroom, where the Bauhous fittings and colour changing chromatherapy/hydrotherapy bath are complimented by the quartz crystal tiling.

The master bedroom has two Georgian sash windows on to the mews and doors to the walk-in closet and en suite. The en suite shower room, is tiled from floor to ceiling with quartz crystal tiling, and a feature window looks out on to the coaching inn arch. The second bedroom has two windows overlooking the adjacent rooftops, and French doors which open onto a Juliette balcony. The third bedroom also overlooks rooftops and has the wiring in place to be used as an office.

The next staircase opens into the incredible open plan top floor, with its high vaulted ceiling and 2.5 x1.5 metre cinema screen. Four sets of aluminium French doors open on to the south and south west facing roof garden.

The cinema/TV projector and Bose sound system make this floor the perfect entertaining space in all seasons. The colour changing leds discreetly hidden to highlight the ceiling, along with the artisan neon chandelier, certainly give this room the 'wow' factor.

Virtual tour available on request.
